Founded in 1982, Calvary has been serving the New Orleans, Westbank area with quality elementary Christian education for many years now.  We have a marvelous heritage of making a difference in the lives of our young people.

We are in a partnership with the home and this creates a bond that is not easily broken, especially in the ever-changing world in which we live.

Background

Calvary Baptist School is a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church and admits students of any race, color, sex, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally made available to students at the school.

Calvary Baptist School offers a choice of half-day or full-day for 3 yr. olds and a full-day Pre-K program for 4 yr. olds. as well as Kindergarten through 7th grades. 100% of the students that leave Calvary after 7th grade get accepted in schools like Shaw, Academy of Our Lady, Dominican, just to name a few.

Curriculum

Calvary uses a blended curriculum which includes ABEKA, Bob Jones, Association of Christian Schools International, Saxon Math and Shurley English. All new students must pass a comprehensive entrance exam. Christian education extends beyond the development of skills and the acquisition of knowledge. Developing a love for Jesus Christ and a value system based upon God’s word are integral parts of our curriculum.

Sports

Calvary offers a variety of extracurricular activities which include sports, field trips, Beta Club, Daisy and Brownie Scouts, just to name a few.
